[Slowhand] Gibson Guitars

The idea that Gibson is not making great guitars is nonsense. They still  
make some of the finest guitars in the world. I have a nice red SG I bought that  
plays as well as the 62 SG I've owned for 40 years.
The custom shop work they do, and I buy almost exclusively custom shop  
guitars now, is excellent. And those guitars are collectable and anyone who buys  
one will make money if they hold onto the guitar for a while.
 
Nothing wrong with Gibson guitars at all.
 
Heritage also makes very good guitars. I have a 550  archtop natural  
finished semi hollow Heritage, and I love her very much. I think Heritage is on  a 
par with Gibson, probably making better guitars overall but probably not as  
good as the custom shop.
