Yes, the writer of the article on that web site disputes the Sunday
night, 10 March 1968 venue, claiming that it was at the Fillmore,
rather than the Winterland.

But he doesn't dispute another fact: Clapton used his psychedelically
painted Gibson SG, and NOT his ES-335, as Guitar Center has been
claiming, when recording the live portions of "Wheels Of Fire,"
including "Crossroads." Guitar Centers ads are deliberately
misleading, and they know better.

Guitar Center now owns Clapton's cherry red Gibson ES-335. And as
Paul Harvey says, "And now you know the rest of the story."
