Great that you got a discussion going here! Beano is definitely *the* Clapton album to measure all others against. No question.

Second on my list is the "Legends" DVD (with David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Joe Sample and Steve Gadd. EC shows such a range of playing ability and plays with sooo much feeling on that recording and it comes close to Beano IMHO.
