[Slowhand] Sad News to begin 2010

Long time Slowhander Joyce Richards, Orinda, California (20 miles east of SF) passed away in her sleep Wednesday night. It was sudden and without warning according to her surviving spouse Steve (hero). Joyce suffered from a rare brain disease that struck "out-of-the-blue" about three yrs ago dibilitating motor and cognitive functions, but she maintained a surprisingly positive outlook and frequently attended live performances. Joyce was a member of our local Slowhander-group that gathers occasionally for BBQs and local concerts to share our enthusiasm. She will be missed.
