[Slowhand] Old Love...

I am listening to versions of "Old Love" from Pittsburgh, Kansas City and
Sunrise FL from earlier this year.  I loved this song when it was released
on "Journeyman" but find the live versions are like a completely different
song in some respects.  I think I relate to the lyrics very much on a
personal level - same experiences.  But the guitar solos - wow!  For me,
even for EC, this song just seems to bring out amazing stuff, e.g. the 1990
versions (4-piece and 9-piece), the Hyde Park 1996 version.  But these 2010
versions are incredible too.  I just have to think, despite his incredible
solos on many other songs, that there is a particularly person attachment to
this song for EC - the solos, for me, are just off the charts emotion-wise.
Considering EC could have gone the same way as Jimi in the early 70s, how
lucky we are to have this sonic gift still in 2010.
