You'll have to appease yourself with the possibility that this will be a
better release:

Hello friends,Just a few words here on this slowed down list on that new
album cover. I had heard the rumors, or read them rather, about a possible
double studio album from Eric. Sounded very promising. Very. Maybe some real
music again, finally? He got rid of the ProTools which took all the soul out
of all the latest records, the Simon Climie thing? JJ Cale in the studio
too? Exciting, you keep hoping he will just get off his ass just one day and
make music again. Not all this elevator music that he's been putting us
through (at least following Riding With The King), I guess since Change The
World. I even think the mid 80s albums can be regarded as recorded music,
not retired nanny productions and plastic toy songs ruined by Cliff Richard
smoothness. He's got this incredible voice and some talent on the guitar,
that once they put a Gibson guitar in his hands (like the '96 Dr John St
James Infirmary thing) he doesn't sound like Julio Iglesias on the light
blue grocery store shopping music.
This cover they made for this new album, oh my god. There's nothing left.
Bad taste, bad style, creativity dried up, more commercial than For Your
Love ever was, 10cc type cover that probably resembles the "music" they
killed in the plastic machine. This is an insult. I feel insulted, Mr
Clapton. Enough is enough. Cocaine-Wonderful Tonight-Cocaine Thank you for a
good time, guys, especially during the lively years of late 90s and early
00's.
Brian.
And for the encore: Cocaine-Wonderful Tonight-Crossroads...
