[Slowhand] Clapton playing Mandolin?

Hello Slowhanders!

 

In the booklet of the new cd, there're two pictures: one of Eric playing an old Epiphone acoustic guitar (where is the Martin guitar, I never saw EC playing Epiphones before...), and the other picture (on the right) shows someone playing a mandolin. It doesn't show the face of the player, just his knee and hands and the headstock of the instrument, and a wall of microphones. By the color of his pants, it can be Eric, it looks like the same old denim pants on the left picture. The question is that I never heard of Eric playing mandolin before. On the other hand, why to put a picture of another player, if it's not him? Anyone ever heard any mention of Clapton playing mandolin?

 

BTW, I really liked both new tunes, I'm waiting eagerly for the new-ugly-cover cd! Did anyone realized that this cover looks a lot with Journeyman cover? Great record with ugly cover too:-)
