No doubt politics plays some small part in artist selection for a major event like this.
Z Z Top was a clever local inclusion for the event in Dallas in 2004, and it would also come down to artist availability and whoever had "product" (I hate that term) out at the time. Not sure why Willie Nelson was included in the first one, or why Keith Urban would be added to next year's event, they would be a couple I would put down to politics, but perhaps that's just me.

ello everyone,

 have a few remarks about next year's Guitar Festival.

irst of all, I don't think its right that your bank affiliation should decide ether you get a seat or not. This is just wrong. And although Chase probably ours money into the festival, I don't see the logic in why the first 30 rows or more?) would be filled up with people with the right colour on their credit ard.

econdly, and although I deeply appreciate familiar faces like Doyle, Buddy, BB, ayer, Cray, its a fact that with the possible exception of ABB, there are NO urprises on the list of participants. Where are possible invitees like Keith ichards, Ronnie Wood, Pete Townshend, Mark Knophler or Neil Young? Or why not rince? Or Dave Gilmore? I know EC is not the biggest fan of Jimmy Page, but..  
 really would have welcomed a bit of change.

 guess I will be trying to get hold of a ticket on the 30th anyway...
