Delta Nick asked about Eric's gloved hand on the back of the new album. In an interview, I can't remember the source, I'll try to dig it out later, Eric said he broke out in eczema all over his body, even his hands which he put down to the stress from recording, the gloves helped to alleviate it.

Eczema

After all these decades, EC made me cry with that last track. I miss my dad.

Well this is one for the books. Eric said that going into the studio he got eczema. He wondered if it was nerves. Imagine that. Eric Clapton nervous about cutting a disc. He is human after all.

Believe in an interview he stated he had a terrible case of exczema (spelling) that required him to wear gloves and use lotions, etc as it was all over his body.

Hard to tell with such a small photo but I’m wondering if they’re some sort of compression gloves for arthritis? I have a co-worker who wears those at work (it’s an office environment) although his are black and very tight fitting. The gloves Eric is sporting appear somewhat loser fitting.

Early review -- fairly positive -- of I Still Do.

Review: Eric Clapton consistently pleases on 'I Still Do'
