Dear Jenny and anyone else who needs help and has not yet received any...

The group is called Modest Needs and is there to help Katrina survivors by
giving donations directly back into the hands of Katrina victims.  
 
They are giving individual grants I have been told up to $1000 and for
groups such as churches, non profits... up to $10,000 sometimes more to help
with relief effort after Katrina.  
 
They are providing small grants to those who can show a need and write a
good application... 
 
My father who is a retired attorney cannot seem to get FEMA to release even
the $2000... It seems there is a paperwork error which they are having a
rough time figuring out.  This organization is here to bridge a gap... every
little bit helps.
 
Please contact ModestNeeds.org if you have a Katrina related need.
Which is very easy for anyone who has yet to received anything and you lost
your home and or apartment.
