HAPPY NEW YEAR, ST. BERNARD!!

CALLING ALL CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS OF ST. BERNARD PARISH


A lot of homes are being gutted-hopefully, that is a sign that many of you
are returning home.  I must tell you that so many, many people have spoken
very highly of the "people of St. Bernard"-your spirit, your resilience and
your love of our great parish. 

On that note, I thought that it would be important to begin a series of
updates on what is going on in St. Bernard.   The first meeting is going to
be held on Saturday, January 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Nunez Community
College.

The goal of the first meeting will be to exchange information on what plans
various clubs and organizations are making, as well as to give you an update
from Nunez Community College.


Please accept this as an invitation for your club to provide an update for
your members and other St. Bernard residents on the status and future plans
that you have for your organization. To date, the organizations that have
committed to attend are the St. Bernard Business and Professional Women's
Club, the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club of St.
Bernard-Arabi, and the Rotary Club of St. Bernard.

Please note that future updates will be planned to cover other vital topics
important to the rebuild of St. Bernard.  The speakers will change each time
in order to cover various topics of interest.  Please email any request for
speakers that you may have and we will be happy to extend an invitation to
them. In order to plan for the day, we ask that you call in to the Baton
Rouge office so that we know which clubs will be in attendance.  The number

Lastly, I miss all of you so much.  You are St. Bernard forever and
forever!!!  We will be back!!!  I look forward to seeing you on the 21st!!
