Here is the simple fact- the Duany plan offered some great ideas, but the
LRA did not follow this up with the funding mechanism that allows
implementation of the plan.  We continue to try to anticipate the outcome of
the LRA plan and give some level of movement based on the issue.

    Can you tell us what is the status of implementation of the Duany
plan?  I know the council adopted it, but I have heard nothing since. Has
the council since decided to abandon the plan?   Since I lived in BVN, north
of Patricia, I am interested in whether the Parish intends to follow through
with the proposals in the plan, such as encouraging people to build
elsewhere,  and not in, for example, the low-lying areas of BVN.  On the
other hand, I have heard that the Parish is encouraging people to rebuild
everywhere, even those areas where the Duany plan does not recommend
rebuilding homes.  That would seem inconsistent with the council's adoption
of the plan.
