Yes, "It is within everyone power to lead" ,but some people would rather be
led, then complain about where they are led to.

Westley, I am in accord with this logic you presented. It is my
opinion as
well that your vivid example of Grand Forks do expose any weakness
of our
community to recover properly. The indecisions, inappropriateness
and such
have left most St. Bernardians in distress. If one
successfully-recovered
community can be a model for recovery to us, how is it that applying
a
similar situation of recovery cannot be utilized to address our
dilemma.

What's happening, as what you see here on this messaged-site is
division.
It's not like 1 or 2 people are being dragged through the mire.
We're
talking about tens of thousands are affected by decisions that have
thus far
divided us and not conjoined us as necessary. There is no
coming-together,
no rally (rah, rah) for the populace, just questions upon questions.
That
boils down to leadership. Are we being led by lawyers or elected
officials?
If we wished for puppetry, we'd watch reruns of Howdy Doody or Mr.
Bingle.

We need to straighten out the mess and give us real leadership. It
is within
everyone's power to lead. When any individual takes it upon
him/herself to
obstain from effective decisions and allow others to do so for
him/her, then
it's time we look to someone who has the initiative to do so.

Your analogy was correct in my eyes. The real griping hasn't hit
it's
pinnacle at this point by homeowners whose real goals is to reach
the top,
and not be satisfied with being made "bottom-feeders" in a land of
plenty.
