Have the parish leaders addressed the ever-increasing problem of rodents?
Whenever you drive around the parish at night you often see rats running
from trash pile to trash pile.  Before St. Bernard becomes another New York
City, has the federal government provided funds to address this situation?
This is rapidly getting out of control and is a major health hazard.  I have
purchased poison and have placed it in the piles of debris around my
neighborhood, but it didn't appear to make much of a difference.  As Murphy
was picking up the debris off the neutral grounds we saw at least six rats
quickly moving from the debris and in seconds were climbing the nearest
fence going who knows where. 
 
Any information that you can provide to residents will be very much
appreciated.
