and that Joey DiFatta has a house in Slidell.

fact or fiction?

I dont know if it is truth or fiction and it does not really matter. I hear
several of the council members supposedly have houses elsewhere. So would
I, and hope so will I, as soon as I can afford it. I do NOT want to leave
the parish, but would like to have another home, a hunting cabin on a piece
of land in the woods, or something, I can go to, especially during the next
evacuation. I dont want to stay with others, in a hotel, in a car, camp
ground, with no place to go in case I cant go back when I wa nt to. So
having a second home outside the parish is a very smart thing to do.
In fact, for a council member, who is expected to BE in the parish, during
and/or afte a storm, it is advised to have place to safely place their
families, so they don t have THAT worry to deal with, and can concentrate
on parish problems during another emergency. It makes sense to me. I would
like a second home to have my family, so I can concentrate on the influx of
evacuees at the nursing homes I work, and not have to try to pitch a tent
somewhere for my own clan.
If they have houses elsewhere, congrats to them. Take care of your families
first, as all St Bernardians usually do, then you can help the parish the
most.
