went to the doctor today, after all this time. Found out I have severe
depression and post trauma. Now on medicine.

One thing I did forget to mention and that's "the ultimate consequence":
suidides from some in the parish, severe mental depression and hopelessness.
Even when all who survived face the daunting tasks of recovery, most in the
initial stages felt hopelessness in terms of depression, anxienty and
post-traumatic stress disorder. 

Today, still many of us are tackling the problems. Some cannot afford proper
mental health treatments as insurances on jobs were lost (as a consequence,
the coverages went). 

Even for those who have some coverage in insurance the cost of proper mental
health is discomforting/disconcerting. Many treating doctors left or retired
due to their stress in handling situations caused by the storm. 

 While we wait for financial assistance, we also slip into an abyss of
further uncertainty and stress. We most certainly need good things to happen
to us -- and in a hurry.

Still, without prayer, nothing else will suffice.
