[StBernard] FIELD OF DREAMS

Westley,

I hear what you are saying, but I must say Wendy does have a good point in
that she does not trust the EPA or DEQ. I do not trust them either. We have

a house on Jacob. It tested positive inside and out. We went to the an EPA

meeting at Prompt Succor early on and it was a joke. This was before the
class action settlement and the buy-out was propsed. They said no buy-out
was necessary. They said, no danger, just like if oil gets on your hand, you

wash it off. That's it. No problem. Murphy will just wash the oil away.
Problem solved. We walked out when we heard that. The EPA sounded like
they worked for Murphy Oil. People have had their homes cleaned by Murphy
in the four buy-out streets and oil is leaking out from the bricks and it is

supposed to be "clean". You are right. The oil companies were there first.

We need the jobs. I just think the EPA and DEQ is in the pocket of the
oil companies and other pollution causing companies. We need these
companies, but we need to be told the truth. If the safety is not yet
known, they should tell us it is not yet known. Don't tell us it is safe,
because they don't really know. The issue I am concerned about is can we
trust the EPA and DEQ. I don't think so.

Laurie
