	Heard a bit of info about the million dollar surplus ( reported
after
	Katrina as 1.3 mil) held by the Clerk of Court office from a long
time
	parish attorney.
	
	Truth or fiction?
	
	This surplus is the sole entity of the clerk of courrt including all
	computers, equipment, property that is inventory of the clerk's
office and
	that if in fact a new clerk of court is elected these funds do not
stay with
	the elected office.
