Dear Fellow Louisianans:

Since I filed my candidacy for Governor without a party affiliation two
weeks ago, I have been overwhelmed with the groundswell of support from
people all over Louisiana. Community and business leaders from every parish
have called my campaign headquarters wanting to be a part of our
non-partisan citizens movement to bring meaningful change to Louisiana. To
become a part of Team Georges, visit our website

Since Hurricane Katrina, I am proud to have been a part of the grassroots
citizens lead reform movement, where people from all walks of life and
political persuasions put their differences aside and worked together to
achieve real change. My advertisements supporting a single levee board
helped Citizens for One Greater New Orleans pass critical levee board reform
legislation. Levees.org is working to hold the Army Corps of Engineers
accountable for the levee breaches and Silence Is Violence, which held the
January New Orleans crime march with assistance from my ChangeLouisiana.com
organization, is working to reform the criminal justice system in New
Orleans.

To me, actively participating in these citizens movements is critical to
Louisiana's future. Any progress we make will be because of the people, not
the politicians. That is why I am proud to be the only major Gubernatorial
candidate supporting Blueprint Louisiana, the "citizen-driven effort to
identify and implement essential changes to fundamentally improve
Louisiana". Blueprint's five point plan was developed by leaders from every
region with input from citizens across the state; more than 50 experts and
400 reports on a wide variety of topics.

The Blueprint Louisiana plan includes the following:

1. Adopt the Nation's Best Ethics Laws: Louisiana should be a national
model for ethics in government, overcoming our past to lead the country in
transparency and accountability.

2. Prepare Students for a Lifetime of Success: All students deserve a
strong foundation of early childhood education through Pre-K4 for all and
sustained support through workforce training that leads to graduation and
success in college and the workforce.

3. Develop the Skilled Workforce We Need: Louisiana's workers should
have access to high-quality, market-driven training through our community
and techical college system to build job skills for today's economy.

4. Provide First-Class Access to Health Care: Our uninsured patients
deserve first-class access to health care services in their local
communities.

5. Build a Superior Transportation System: Our roads should be safe and
sound and free of congestion to support Louisiana's economy and improve our
quality of life.

These 5 simple goals will be priorities for my administration and I cannot
understand why my fellow candidates do not agree. We must do the people's
business in Baton Rouge, not let the special interests take over.

I will be a Governor for all citizens. I know you are ready for a new
approach to government that puts your interests as the highest priority. The
race for governor should be about leadership, not party. I can unite this
deeply divided state and deal with our issues in a non-partisan way.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read this email. If

Together, we will Change Louisiana.

John Georges
