Free Technology Assistance for Small Businesses 

TechAssistLA provides technology assistance in any technology area where any
of its over 400 company members has skills and expertise. Businesses needing
technology assistance are matched with a Louisiana Technology Council member
company that specializes in the area of technology that they need. From
telephones to internet, web sites to accounting, security, disaster
planning, system upgrades or expansion. 

Gulf Coast Economic Empowerment Program 

The National Urban League and BP have developed the Gulf Coast Economic
Empowerment Program, to help small and minority-owned companies secure
contracting opportunities and resources along the Gulf Coast in the Housing
and Construction industry sectors. The event will take place October 16,
2007 at the New Orleans Marriott.
