[StBernard] Road Home Iand SBA usage

A major disappointment to the Road Home and having used SBA to rebuild was
finding out the $3000 in interest that needed repayment out of Road Home
disbursement. For a $105,000 contents and structure payout and one year
later (payment to SBA starts after a one year deferment) there is a 2.x%
interest payment out of the LRA Roadhome grant that needs addressing from
the payout.

If only they would have treated this disaster as they did in Betsy, Andrew,
and other major hurricanes in LA/Florida where the disaster loans were
forgiven after some point. It's probably too early to discuss it, but when
people need to know whether to repay the loan or payout, it's important to
know whether money repaid could have been avoided rather than paid back
immediately rather than paid in a couple of years only to have the fed.
Government-SBA forgive the debt.

Has anyone encountered this or concerned about repaying SBA only to have it
forgiven? Suggestions? Thanks. mj.
