Man Falls Into Mississippi River Near Chalmette

CHALMETTE, La. -- A 45-year-old man servicing the fire extinguishers on a
moored tugboat fell into the Mississippi River near the Exxon dock in
Chalmette Tuesday night and is still missing.

The Coast Guard said John Chaisson, an employee for Fire Protection
Services, was last seen as he was walking from the tugboat Patriot Service
to the dock it had been moored to once he had finished working on the
extinguishers.

Rescuers searched the river for Chaisson for most of Wednesday night, but
efforts were unsuccessful.
