Jer,
My late husband was the relative of the Dolese groceries. He was raised in
the French Quarter.  My dad owned a cocktail lounge where the One Shell
Square is today. For Mardi Gras all of my friends would congregate there for
the parades.  Of course we were all underage so no one was served any drinks
except the non-alcholic ones and believe it or not the guys didn't even
sneak any alcohol. We had fun without the drugs and alcohol in those days.
