Great Thanks...my mush though is onsetting rapidly due to the
kids...however, I do know all the latest slang from the teenagers

Wendy,

You'll find getting older and our brains turning to mush seem to run
hand in
hand. My reference to our parents and grandparents - or the WW II
generation - was about how everything back then was about "God and
Country."
Yeah, it was a common expression, but people in this country really
believed
in it. Note they weren't picking out any one Christian religion's
"God" but
just in general. And that's what I mean when I say religion, more
specifically "Judeo-Christian religious prinicple" had always been
the
underlying foundation to this country. Is it just coincidence or
direct
cause and effect that this country's societal problems over the past
30
years appear to paralel to our straying from keeping those
principles as
this nation's foundation?

On a different - but somewhat related note to our discussion - if
you'd like
to watch an excellent movie about the Manhatten Project, see if "Day
One" is
on dvd for renting. I think it was a two part movie made for tv by
CBS back
in the late 80's starring actor David Strathairn as Dr. J. Robert
Oppenheimer - runs about 4 hours. It told a lot of details as to
what was
going on in Los Alamos and how the scientist team working on the
bomb really
felt about it. I remember it was an excellent production and very
educational.

John
