Obama Accepts Untraceable Money

Obama Campaign Admits Accepting Millions From Untraceable Donors

Obama's campaign is accepting millions in donations from pre-paid credit
cards - with no way of tracing the legality of the donations.

October 31, 2008 - The Washington Post, which has endorsed Barack Obama for
the presidency, has published a disturbing article on the continuing saga of
multi-million dollar fundraising scandal inside the campaign.

The Post reports that the Obama campaign is deliberately permitting donors
to use pre-paid credit cards that can be used to evade legal limits on
donations - and that can hide the true identity of the person donating.

The campaign has chosen to ignore basic security measures that prevent
illegal or anonymous donations from flowing into its accounts. Of the $150
million Obama raised in September, $100 million came from Internet
donations.

As TVC reported earlier, individuals donating online could be foreigners who
have no right to donate to his political campaign. Obama could use these
funds to buy the election. When caught by the FEC, the campaign can simply
pay the fine and enjoy four years in the White House - thanks to illegal
donations. This same tactic was used by the Clintons when they accepted
Chinese donations to win the 1996 election.

TVC's report noted that $227 million has come from online donations so far.
Most of these are under $200 from phony names who gave repeatedly. One donor
called Mr. Good Will donated $17,375 in 1,000 separate donations. This is
illegal. A person can only give $2,300 to one candidate during an election
cycle.

The Post noted that one Obama donor was named Mary T. Biskup, who supposedly
gave $174,800 to the campaign. However, the real Mrs. Biskup had not donated
a dime to Obama. Someone had used her name and donated illegally to his
campaign.

Obama Broke His Promise On Campaign Financing

Sen. Barack Obama has access to millions in donations because he reneged on
his promise to accept public financing of his campaign. In 2007, he
promised to accept public financing and work with Republicans to make sure
both Parties worked with those limits. Sen. McCain kept his promise and is
limited in the amount of money he can raise. Obama, however, broke his
promise and now has millions at his disposal to buy the election.

Campbell Brown of CNN explains what Obama did: "Obama Breaks Promise On
Campaign Finance"

She notes that Obama has raised $600 million as the result of his broken
promise and said that his success in this election is attributable to this
broken promise from November 2007.

"Obama has claimed to support transparency in government. He even went so
far as to introduce a bill on this issue, yet when it comes to his own life,
his own campaign, his own birth certificate, he is opposed to transparency,
" said Lafferty.
