[StBernard] Representative Burns Urges Citizens To Attend Millage Rollup Hearings

  Representative Tim Burns has released the following statement:


 


"Our efforts to prevent excessive millage rate rollups (and increase of
property tax rates), have met with mixed success but the fight is not over.
I encourage all citizens to attend the public millage hearings and express
their concerns and objections over the necessity and amount of property tax
increases. It is important that we continue to make our voices heard about
the impact of millage rollups on our already fragile economy. Below are a
list of meetings and their commissioners that will be held in the coming
days. I urge you to contact the commissioners as well as attend the meetings
and have your voice heard on the rollups."
