This is odd. I read a blog called Liberal Rapture although John is more of
a moderate than liberal.

He posted a poll-daddy poll with this:

Is the United States in the beginning stages of a revolution?

The choices were:

* Yes, all it needs is an inciting event
* No, there is no reason to believe real unrest is brewing
* I do not know

Here's the results:

Yes, all it needs is an inciting event 69%

No, there is no reason to believe real unrest is brewing 12%

I do not know. 19%

His readers are mostly on the moderate side and as unscientific as this is,
it was an eye-opener to me. I don't think it will take much to really set
off the (what's left of it) middle class. Another banker bailout and then
seeing the unreal bonuses that they are paying themselves thanks to us, the
taxpayers?

People in their comments said things like "oh, they'd mow down the people in
the streets using the military" and other similar things. I pointed them to
this movie and asked them to think about it:

If the Dems and Obama keep on the path they are on, and especially if they
screw over our military, throwing them into situations that are impossible
to handle (like not giving them the troops in Afghanistan that they need),
then I believe we could have a
coup d'état and never realize it happened. There won't be a military
person in charge of the government but you'll see a ton of resignations.
