If I thought it were light and funny, I would have added it in my
conclusion. It illustrates distaste. We have enough distaste in America and
we shouldn't be promoting distasteful additives to an already immoral
society. It's not a freedom of speech issue. It's a tasteful vs. "time and a
place for everything" issue.

Therefore if you love distasteful "humor" there are sites on the net which
will accommodate anyone who pleasures in it.

Glad you loved the "humor", Brenda.

People lighten up when they read their Bible, they lighten up when Katrina
is non-existent, they lighten up when a loved one makes it through a crisis
or they lighten up when they have made it to God.

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his
seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over
the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never
spoken out before about a government official, until now.  He dictated this
letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,     

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People
meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle
free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and
after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest
home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor allowing me to keep alive
the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind,
blunt and direct even to the head man.  So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do but
you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.  You fly around
the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

"We're no longer a Christian nation", "America is arrogant" - (Your wife
even announced to the world, "America is mean-spirited. " Please tell her to
try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all
over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a
whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you but I don't think you like America nor do I
see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do for the obvious gifts this
country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous
thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9-11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."  Which ones
did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and
shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British ? Or maybe the
ideal that no man should be a slave to another man that 500,000 men died for
in the Civil War ? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers,
brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in
WWII,because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us
around because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than
discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood
when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.  Shape up and start
acting like an American.  If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get
shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to
lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt
leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

 

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to
conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow
soldiers and wounded dozens more.  You mean you don't want us to do what you
did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in
Massachusetts who was putting up a fight?  You don't mind offending the
police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics
by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to
defend your country with your life but you're the Commander-in-Chief now,
son.  Do your job.  When your battle-hardened field General asks you for
40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're
not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is
not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge
ever presented to any president.  You're not going to restore American
greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest
threat.  Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big
fight now.  And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy
in this final battle.

Can a Muslim be a real American? 

In light of the murders at Ft. Hood by a Muslim Officer (who had sworn to
defend the people, our Constitution and the United States) this article
becomes more timely and real than ever;


I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The following is his reply:


Theologically - no.  Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of
Arabia .

Religiously - no.  Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except
Islam.

Scripturally - no.  Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam
and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no.  Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns
in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no.  Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends
with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no.  Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders),
who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America,  the great
Satan.



Domestically - no.  Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat
and scourge his wife when she disobeys him.



Intellectually - no.  Because he cannot accept the American Constitution
since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be
corrupt.

Philosophically - no.  Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow
freedom of religion and expression.  Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist.
Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no.  Because when we declare "one nation under God," the
Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent
names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation....perhaps we should be very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country.  They obviously cannot be both
"good" Muslims and good Americans.

Call it what you wish....it's still the truth.

 If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements,
perhaps you will share this with your friends.  The more who understand
this, the better it will be for our country and our future.


Pass it on Fellow Americans.  The religious war is bigger than we know or
understand.

FEMA cannot rebuild a hospital that was privately owned.  If it had been a

Everyone should try to make a point of sending this guy a Christmas card.  Also, Red Cross is sponsoring a card drive for our soldiers with the help of Pitney Bowes. This is a scaled down version of that information.  A pack of Christmas cards only costs a dollar at Dollar Tree.  It can't cost much to mail them to Pitney Bowes and it sure would make some soldiers happy. 
 

 

Holiday Mail for Heroes is back!

In this season of hope and giving the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes, Inc. have joined forces to invite Americans to ?send a touch of home? to United States service members and veterans across the country and abroad. In its third year, the Holiday Mail for Heroes program is an opportunity to share joy and thanks with our service members throughout the holiday season by way of a greeting card.
Today over 1.4 million men and women serve in the U.S. armed forces and over 24 million veterans have served in the past. The holiday season is the perfect time to honor and extend a warm holiday greeting to those who?ve served and continue to do so.
 

How Holiday Mail works

We have established an extensive process to ensure all cards sent to our service members are safe and arrive in time for the holidays. Holiday cards will be collected through a unique P.O. Box address from Monday, November 2 through Monday, December 7*.
First, cards from across the nation must be sent to this address:

Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456
Every card received will be screened for hazardous materials by Pitney Bowes and distributed to participating Red Cross chapters nationwide. Once the cards arrive at the Red Cross chapters, they are sorted and reviewed by volunteers who then distribute them to service members, their families and veterans in communities across the country.
