Fire at historic Chalmette restaurant Rocky & Carlo's

CHALMETTE, La. -- Firefighters are responding to a fire at Rocky & Carlo's
Restaurant in Chalmette.

The fire was reported around 9 a.m. at the restaurant, which is closed on
Sunday. Officials haven't released many details, and it's not clear how
extensive the damages are.

There haven't been any reports of injuries.

St. Bernard Fire Chief Thomas Stone called Rocky & Carlo's one of the
"backbone businesses" of the parish. Several parish leaders were at the
scene.
