1 - TalkBlade Infrequent Newsletter replaces SKM Newsletter
-----------------------------------------------------------
Goodbye SKM Newsletter, welcome TalkBlade Infrequent Newsletter!
The SKM Newsletter started as a SKM-centric news mailing, but then evolved
and now features a variety of contents. Therefore, we decided to change
its name in order to reflect this and, since TalkBlade in the central
point of a significant community, the choice seemed obvious.
As before, your mailbox won't be filled more than once a month, hence the
word "Infrequent" in the list name. :-)
2 - A look at the features of the new TalkBlade *free* forum
------------------------------------------------------------
There are a lot of news at TalkBlade these days. First of all, all forum
features are now *free of charge*, which means there are no more Premium
or Sponsoring memberships. So:
* All registered users can now buy and sell items in the Buy&Sell area.
* All registered users can attach images or other files to public messages
(up to three 500 KB files per single message *with no quota limit*).
* Images or other files can also be attached to private messages, with a
quota limit of 1 MB.
TalkBlade look and usability have also been greatly improved with the
installation of the latest version of the software which powers the forum.
There are now 3 graphic styles to choose from (take a look at your User
Control Panel if you want to try them): prosilver (the standard one, very
clean and modern), BlackDiamond (a darker one, if you don't like white),
and subsilver2 (which looks almost like the previous version of the forum,
and is great if you have an older web browser which doesn't show prosilver
and BlackDiamond well).
You can find a few discussion threads regarding all these news:

3 - Due Buoi THORN Forged Stiletto hits the market
--------------------------------------------------
The Forged Stilleto is quickly becoming a successful seller, and it
couldn't be different as its quality is unmatched in Italian-produced
automatic knives. There's now a new addition to the family: the THORN
Forged Stiletto, which costs roughly US$ 25.00 less than the regular one
and comes without the front guard.

Also, there's a new "Gadgets" section on the web site where, at present
time, you can buy the Due Buoi baseball cap (available in 2 colours: red
and blue):

We'd also like to remind you that Due Buoi, in order to remain convenient
for customers in the USA, continues to keep the US Dollar instead of the
Euro as its currency of reference. Happy shopping!
4 - New pass-around knife: TalkBlade wants your opinion
-------------------------------------------------------
You probably all know what pass-around knives are. If you don't, in a few
words they are (expensive) knives purchased by a number of people who
share their cost; the knives are then shipped from person to person, and
everybody can keep them for a limited amount of time. It's a good idea
which allows you to own a very expensive knife for a while without running
out of money.
TalkBlade user Vanegas launched the idea for a new one, but comments and
"subscriptions" still have to be gathered. Take a look at the thread and
post your opinion:

5- Maniago News: Maniago News: new forum dedicated to the Cutlery Town
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maniago has a new online community forum!!! It is currently quite similar
to TalkBlade as far as layout is concerned, but that's going to change
soon, as the forum will be "painted" with the Maniago "official" colour:
green.
The web site is in Italian language only, and can be found at this address:

6 - Personal ranks available for TalkBlade members with 1000+ posts
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If you posted more than 1000 public messages on TalkBlade, you might want
to take a look here:
http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9929
It's possible to have a personal rank, which will appear below the
username in every post. Many of our 1000+ posts members already have some
fancy ones. For instance:
Vagrant - Self Appointed Authority
Bonzo - Doofos Emeritus
Wally J. Corpse - Level Zero: True Jerk
arthas - Cutlery Town Warrior (hey, that's me!)

==> Swinguard forum gone?
http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9923
It looks like Swinguard forum has been down for 10 days or so. We all hope
it'll be back online soon, as it's an interesting place to discuss, even
though it might sometimes appear to be a bit FrankB-oriented. ;-)
==> Sicac 2007
http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9907
Sicac is a big and interesting knife show, which is held in France
every year. Cardoso5fr was there and posted a lot of great pictures.

==> Pocket switchblade
http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9400
There's a DueBuoi-backed idea to create an high-quality pocket Italian
Stiletto. In this thread users are discussing on its features. Take part
in the design of this project!
==> The Fox dog
http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9897
Fox and Rommel are the "official" TalkBlade dogs. Here (and in a few other
