Hi List,

To add my answer to the devil's advocate question, because I think it's
an interesting question: 

I think that people will tend to be better at either visual design or
programming - because their activities/careers probably push them to
concentrate on one rather than another. I also think that specialising
is becoming increasingly necessary, as the fields are becoming so packed
with knowledge.

All that said - I'm still quite sure there are people out there who
transcend these rules, and that there will be for quite a time to come.
