[Webpro] Introduction

Hello everyone...

My name is Jeanne Hubbard and I've been in the graphic design and publishing
business since 1996. I've done everything from web design, to reporting, to
copyediting, to page layout, to newspaper design, to preflight and
production graphics at a graphic design shop and now I'm a full time
Technical Writer & Software Tester at a company here in beautiful Traverse
City, Michigan. I do web design as a freelancer because I enjoy letting my
creative side out (not to mention the extra $$ in my pocket).
 
Not being into web design full-time for the past few years, I've fallen
behind a bit in the technology of the day. I've finally brought myself up to
speed on CSS and am currently trying to teach myself to do table-less
layouts. In the meantime I'm <http://www.giftsandgallery.com/>  and
<http://www.michiganquiltnetwork.org/> . As you can see I'm not a top-notch
designer, but I pride myself on creating clean and organized sites that are
pleasing to the eye. My clients are mostly small businesses and
organizations that don't have much design sense to begin with, so my
skillset works well for my client base. ;-)
 
I'm hoping this list will be a resource for me as I move forward into
XHMTL/CSS layout, as well as a place where I can show new designs and get
honest critiques. I have a really good sense for user-interface issues as
well as an un-trained "eye" for design to offer in return.
 
Whew, I wrote a book about myself! Thanks for indulging me... I'm looking
forward to getting to know more of you in the future.
