[Webpro] CGI Problem

Hi All,

Just got a new job as the Webmaster at www.record-eagle.com (yes, it needs a
serious redesign!). Unfortunately, I inherited a CGI problem that I can't
crack. I know enough about CGI to modify some scripts and implement them,
but obviously not enough for this issue. Any CGI-knowledgable people out
there who could lend a hand?

The two scripts at issue: "Printer Friendly Version"
(www.record-eagle.com/cgi-bin/printstory.cgi) and "Email Story to a Friend"
(www.record-eagle.com/cgi-bin/birdcast.cgi). You can see how they are linked
at http://www.record-eagle.com/2004/oct/20rescue.htm (right side of hte
screen). This code is put on all story pages via SSI, so all pages have the
same code as you see here. This is a UNIX server and both scripts have been
CHMODed with rwx-rx-rx properties.

Both scripts work great on the testing equipment I have - Windows 98/XP, IE6
and NS7.2. However, NS4.7 doesn't like the prinstory.cgi script - it
produces a 404 File Not Found error. (The file is obviously there, since
other browsers can execute it)

Also, I've been getting complaints via a broken link web form that the
birdstory.cgi is giving 404 errors, however I don't have browser specifics
for those complaints (my NS4.7 runs birdstory fine). Two mentioned that
they're on Mac (and both said they use "Outlook Express" as their browser).

I've searched the web for compatibility problems with CGI and Netscape, CGI
and Mac and haven't come up with anything. Any resources or help you could
throw my way is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
