I agree about cleaner code.
It's funny, when I look at older code or other people's code sometimes
it makes me cringe. There was another designer who I used to work with
that didn't have the best grasp of writing clean code and her html was
FULL of colspans and rowspans. Crazy span combinations that you just
knew were on the brink of breaking the entire page.
I agree about floats, they can be used to great effect, but they're so
damn buggy... And when you think about it, grids are just how things
evolved. We expect to see grids. We all want grids! But <grid
cols="3" rows="7">... it's hard for me to see what that would satisfy.
The biggest irony I've found in all of this is how much I used to HATE
<p> tags over BRs, and how much I've reversed my position on these two
simple tags. :)
