Teak is a dark heavy wood about like our blackwalnut. I'm thinking Jelutong
might be what you're looking at if it is a light color and light weight.
Jelutong, the rubber tree, has a nice tight grain, machines well, takes a
stain and finishes well.

BlankWell I just got home only found 151 e-mails were all all too busy LOL
When out at in-laws doing the shopping thing I left them alone to wonder
around waisting time when what did I find at 1 stong but some wooden bowls
at !/2 price & at another wooden plates from Viet nam also !/2 price
$3 ea. I only found 2 of the plates but would of bought them all if there
were more It is very light wood what would you say it is?
A teak I am thinking they are dyed red so no color.
