Several years ago Swiss Made were the most popular tools of choice on the
email lists, kind of a status symbol even.

I have one Pfeil that is a favorite, a 12mm Macaroni tool.

However, all my preferred carving tools are Stubai. I enjoy showing them
off, as well as using them.

Why Stubai? One reliable source says each tool is individually tempered and
finished as opposed to batch processing.

However, the main reason I use them is the great distributor, Stubai Direct
(Whillock's) and the wonderful customer service they provide. Old Joe
