This sounds like fun, because you know everyone has a story.

I am self taught some 10 years back in the jungles of Africa during a long
range patrol in the dark primary jungle of Rwanda just in the middle of the
beginning of the end for their country. Just by chance I happened upon a
small village at the base of the "Mountain Gorillas" mountain. In the
village there was an old man in his 80 or so. He was carving a walking staff
for the village chief or "Paramount Chief". As I made my way through the
village I believe that was the first time I realized that I could do
anything I wanted with my life. If this old man in the middle of genocide
could sit down without a care in the world and create a fin work of art.
Which would be around much longer then him or I would ever be then why can't
I. From that point on I decided that I would create art for my own enjoyment
and satisfaction. I've been back to Africa several times now on other
missions but never back to the killing fields. As for starting late in my
life not sure its not over yet.
