Hi Ray,
I can't help you with the Detail Master heat but for the second part of
your note... we will have a table at the Hamburg, NY show May 1-2.
And, can take the Oriole's nest off your hands. We know a bird carver
on the Cape that would love to have it. The nest would be going to a
very nice home that would do it justice. We'll be back on Cape this
Fall and can "hand" deliver it then. As far as the wood and things, we
have a club that could use some. Looking forward to seeing you there.
I barely got to meet you at the GPO last year. Will you be back this
year? The name is now GOW...Gathering OF Woodcarvers.

Hello again, I didn't want to mix a question with my last response, so
here is my request. My neice has been doing some beautiful woodburning
with a plug in pen with no heat control. Her kids gave her an
expensive Detail Master and a variety of tips for Christmas. You know
the reasoning on this; better tools = better work. The problem is
that the pens get too hot to hold in about 10 minutes. The company
says go with the fixed tip pens. Same problem. Is there a
satisfactory solution to this problem?? Another question: Anyone
going to the 1 - 2 May Hamburg NY show? I'm going to bring some stuff
I want to get rid of, some free. In particular, I have a bonifide
Baltimore Oriole nest that wants to meet a bird carver. Anybody
passing my area is welcome to stop by before or after the show. I have
a LOT of stuff I won't ever get to use, and it's yours if you have
good need for it (besides firewood). Regards, Ray Mighells 6760 Rt
