Hi Ralph,

I noted, with interest, at an earlier time your lessons and carving with
George.  Unfortunately, I got to him a bit too late...just did the oak
leaf and the deer.  My years with him were 1998-1999 (I think).  

I have 28 or so of the long tools that George prepared and sold.  I think
they are great and have been told as much by several professional
sharpeners.  I am still trying to learn that skill and am a bit timid
with my V-tools and deeper gouges.

I, too, have both of his books and they are, fortunately, autographed by
George so they are extra special to me.

Good to hear from you.  Too bad you live out there in California.  You
missed the snow we had for Easter.
About 1/2 inch in Auburn where we now worship. 

I have been to Millington a number of times at our Missouri-Synod
Lutheran Church there.
