This is perhaps late and I'm sure someone may ask it but just in case - what
is a carver's arm?  Thanks for the explaination!

Hi Merrilee,

In Big Dog's catalog ( http://216.106.57.170/~bigdog/47.htm ) upper left
corner is a picture of a carver's arm. It used a carvers screw (to the right
of the carver's arm) to hold the carving to the arm. The carver's arm holds
the carving in a positions that is easier to work.
