[Woodcarver] lighting??

Hi Bill,
Lighting is important. When you say tent, I assume you are making an outdoor
display. First I would insure that everything be grounded with 3 pronged
plugs and a Ground Fault circuit breaker on your incoming power source. You
will not only be protecting yourself but your customers.
The best out-of-the-way location for lights is clipped onto the underside of
the aluminum canopy frame. Remember that these lights get hot and some
fathers like to carry their kids on their shoulders.
I would use spot track lighting and modify it to clip onto the aluminum
canopy frame. A 100-watt bulb draws about one amp each so try to limit your
total amps to 10 max. Even when the promoter says a 30-amp circuit available
they rarely mean 30 amps for each booth. You also want an additional outlet
for a fan, coffee pot, cash register, credit card machine and any power
tools you'll be needing. Even if you don't need a fan for yourself, supply a
few tiny ones for when your customers' stand looking at your items. They
will stay longer and more likely to buy if they can cool off a little. Also
the wind from the fan blows lots of bugs away. Perhaps even clip some of
those tiny fans up under the canopy.
The lighting should highlight your hook-items (items that are more
impressive and hook the people into your booth). A tiny high-intensity
spotlight should give a warm glow, on the hook items, during the light of
day but at dusk or evening is capable of lighting the whole area. Remember
the canvas top will get hot from the sun so you don't want to get your
lighting to close to the top or it will discolor it.
Home Depot, Menards and places like that should have a great lighting
selection for you to choose from. Try the setup several times before you
actually go to the show.

I am looking for any info on accent lighting for a 10'x10' Easy Up tent. I
am going to be participating in a art exhibition/sales and I need to make my
tent
appealing and I believe that the proper lighting will help display my work
and "class" things up.
Does anyone out there know of, or use any such lighting? If so where did you
get it?
I have been doing some searches and I have some ideas but I was hoping to
get some advise from some carvers that may have used such lighting.
