Dan, I swear by a Mort Lake knife for hogging out wood and Drake knives
for an "all-around" knife and any detail work. Wish I knew you were
looking as you could have tried both at Evart!!!!
 
I also think knives are very personal . Once you have found some good
steel, the rest is comfort in your hands.
