Hi Dave,
First I would like to thank our list-leader Bill for posting the message
about the Florida Roundup for me, I had received that note from Tony
Erickson and thought that those heading to or living in that part of the
country would appreciate knowing about it. That is the second spin-off from
the Evart, MI Roundup, the first being the NE Roundup in Honesdale, PA.
Jack Miller, one of the orgainzers of the NE Roundup had asked for advice on
how we got started, and with that information they got theirs going. Tony
had also written us a while back asking for information on how we started
ours here in Evart, and evindently it was a help to him too. Tony and Jim
O'dea were workshop leaders at both the Evart and NE Roundup and now will
also be at the Florida Roundup.
If you, or anyone else, would like I would be glad to forward the
information on to you. If you have any questions please feel free any time
to ask questions, we would be more than happy to help with advice and ideas
even though we are a few miles apart. It is so much fun to being able to
help other carvers learn.
