Hey Lori,

The jump from $19.95 to $29.95 is more than worth it for the additional info you're putting into the book. Can't wait to see it!

>From what I've seen of your work, you should be able to do some damage to those good ol' boys at the Ward competition. :o)

Thanks BIG DOG!
"Additional pages" is an understatement for sure...hehehe...from 96
to 256.The darned thing kind of took on a life of its own. It's my fault
that the publication date was messed up and moved back to January...and
the reason the page count multiplied like rabbits. There's over 850
photos and 100 illustrations. I sure hope the price jump didn't mess up
your pre-orders...I apologize if it did. I'll be at the Ward World
Wildfowl Carving Championship in Ocean City in April for a book
signing...I'll be happy to sign any books your customers buy from you.
Thank you for the kind words about my work . I'm in awe of all the
different talents on this site...the so many different things that can
be done with wood.

Competitive mood? Hehehe...honestly, I don't compete all that much
(HONEST). It just happened that I received a gift of some palm fronds in
exchange for carving and competing them in San Diego in Feb. The mini
cork woody is my chance to acquire a similar one in trade from somebody
else (perhaps even a top carver)...all the woodies are floated and
judged. The ones that win awards get to choose any woody in the tank.
Then the rest of us (in an order determined by the show committee) get
to choose in turn.
The other birds are commissioned, but heck...I need to take something
the the World's with me....grin.
