After I read my reply.. I remembered what I believe is added to the linseed oil as a  curing agent... it is called Japan Dryer.  I think you can add this to raw l.o. and obtain the same effect.. and you can certainly add some more to boiled l.o. for a faster cure... altho, I'd have no idea how much.  I use b.l.o. as it comes from the container.. put about a pint in a quart mason jar and add a touch of burnt umber.. about 1/2" squeezed from the tube.. and mixed thoroughly with a TSP of b.l.o before putting into the mason jar.  This way I'm sure it is fully mixed and not just sitting on the bottom of the jar as a 'lump'.
