[Woodcarver] Tool Organizing

Hi Ray et. al.
Supposedly all the tools in use are to be laid in front of you with all the
cutting edges facing you and in the order of the sweeps from low to
high......at least it looks good in the photos in the books. I've never
been able to make it work, and always end up with a disorganized
pile. From what has been shared I think that the magnets are a bad
idea...the problems with filings and sharpening would be more than
aggravating. I think I'll look at what is available in the plastic
holders, and if that doesn't seem to be what I want I'll take the time to
make something along the lines of the traditional wooden tool bars. This
rack is only for the gouges in use at any given time: I have a maple
cabinet with large very shallow tray-like drawers in which I keep the tools
when they aren't being used. Thanks to everyone for the input. It's nice
to be able to quickly get several points of view on a question.
