[Woodcarver] Buying wood in Maryland

There is a decoy museum in Harve de Grasse and a lot of carvers in that area. 
I would suggest visiting that and asking staff there. 
       I took a course in bird carving and the instructor bought large 
amounts of basswood from that area, but I don't have a name. Price was excellent.
