Jim,
Thanks for sharing the pictures from the Charlotte show.  My wife and I used to go to it for about 5 years straight back in the 90's.  I saw some familiar faces in your photos.  I saw Dr. Ted McGill sitting next to Tom Wolfe in the carving contest.  He is one of the nicest people my wife and I have met in our woodcarving trips. Does Ted still make the "Purlow" for lunch. (I think that's the correct spelling???) I didn't see Mac Proffit at his table (Smokey Mountain Woodcarvers) How's he doing?

  Hi everyone,
  Recently there was talk about carvings depicting the seven deadly sins. Ron Dowdy has created a really nice display of busts, showing various facial expressions. He had this carving in the recent Charlotte show and I took a couple pics and have placed them on my web site if anyone would like to take a look. (I did ask for his permission to post on the web) They are sitting on a rotating carousel. Really nice work. Just wish I had more detailed pictures.
