Hi Paul,
I can't say for sure, but I don't think people are sending e-mail with
attachments but rather they insist on using the HTML or Rich Text
settings on their e-mail clients. There are some IPs which don't even
have a plain text setting for their e-mail (AOL for one), others don't
know enough to use plain text only.
I agree, it is a pain in the butt for me to see these messages come
through. I don't use Outlook Express and my e-mail client does not
display HTML or Rich Text all that well so I get the posts divided
into 4 parts with the default pane being the request for donations. I
have to continually switch off to the text part or the HTML part to
see what the posting is all about. The problem for me is doubled in
that anyone answering a post which was sent in HTML, will also send it
out in HTML even though they themselves have their client set for
plain text.
