I suggest you get flex cuts for now then.  you can buy the 5 blade stater kit 
for about 50 and the 11pc set for about 85.  then you will have some good 
basic tools.  In the meantime you can purchase higher quality tools one at a time 
till you build your collection.  there are also middle range tools out there  
 warren cutlery is a good source and if you can find miller falls tools  they 
are both better than buying cheap tools.  starter sets with both companys run 
somewhere around 40                           Maura
